Via Aqua 2021 – a hike along crystal clear waters

In August 2021, during a summer heat wave, we hiked the Via Aqua, a 4 day roundtrip trail in the Mostviertel Alps, with start and finish in the beer village of Gaming. Starting along the Erlauf river to the Treffling falls, climbing up all the way to Hochbärneck hut. Back down to Scheibbs and Purgstall, climbing the Freithöhe before returning to Gaming via Kienberg. On day 5 we did a bonus walk through the small but gorgeous Erlauf canyon concluding our beautiful hike.
