Today I wore my long underwear and fur line pants and stayed nice and warm. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day. We did a guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace. It rivals Paris’ Versailles. With beginnings stretching clear back to the Middle Ages, the former country estate and then hunting lodge was eventually transformed into the Habsburg imperial family’s lavish summer residence. The palace has 1400 plus rooms with gardens, hedge maze and fountains. I bet it is absolutely beautiful in spring.
We got dropped in the city center and walked around town for the afternoon. Had some goulash and hotdog for late lunch.
Ended the night with a classical music concert by Vienna Residence Orchestra. They did music by Mozart and Strauss and also had ballet and opera added in.
