Vienna in November
Visiting Vienna in November is a great idea as the Christmas markets are open but its not too cold our crowded yet. Also, the city won't be full on Christmas so there will be lots of options available to you.

I highly recommend the Opera. If you do go to the opera then I recommend two things:
1. Pay the extra to get a booth seat. These come with little screens which allow you to read in the language of your choice what is going on. I would have been lost without it.
2. Get a seat at the front row of the booth otherwise you are constantly trying to adjust your view. The extra money spent will make the difference.

While you are in Vienna spend some time looking at luxury items like handmade gloves or other fine clothing. Also, I recommend taking time to relax with some coffee and pasties. They have both modern coffee shops and very traditional coffee shops. Both are excellent.

While the Christmas markets in Vienna are fun to walk at night, I found very little there worth buying and would rather save my money for many of the fine stores you will find all over Vienna.

While the sky in November may be a bit grey, the treasures you will find will light up your day. Explore the city using my map and you will have a great time in Vienna.
