Between 1914–1918, the bloody and very absurd First World War raged across Europe. One of the front lines crossed the territory of today's Slovenia, Italy and Austria. Several organisations are trying to overcome the divisions triggered by that tragic war. A good example of the European idea and opportunity is represented by the work on transnational remembrance, education, research, protection, cultural tourism and respect among neighbouring countries. Can the heritage of WW1 reunite Europe? Let us make the European Walk of Peace.

The promotional film about the Walk of Peace idea was made when the latter was ranked among the top 6 EU Interreg project stories on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the EU Interreg programmes.
