Volksgarten is a Public Park on Ringstrasse in Vienna's 1st District. The garden became the property of the Republic of Austria and is now one of the Seven Federal Gardens that are subordinate to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and water management. Volksgarten has also been part of the UNESCO World Hiritage of the Historic center of Vienna.
Between the entrance of Burgtheater and the Grillparze Monument there is a Rose Garden with over 3000 Rose bushes of more than 200 rose varieties. In the middle of the rose garden, rose beds are framed by box hedges and contain most of the rose plants. Most of the rose varieties can be found in the border of the garden which is formed behind a row of chairs. Most of the rose varieties in the rose garde are signposted.
