The Kingdom of Spain had a very disappointing collapse of their Empire, everything in red used to be controlled by Spain, making them one of the biggest Empires in human history, although they’re often forgotten, as the British, Roman, and Mongol Empires are more popular.

After Napoleon Bonaparte invaded Spain, it all started going downhill. After the Peninsular War, Spain was in a political crisis, accompanied by the loss of its overseas colonies in the Americas and the rise of Basque and Catalan nationalism during the Industrial Revolution.
