The Linz Zoo was opened in 1980 under the motto „European animals, pets and their primeval forms“. It covers an area of about five hectares and around 650 animals of 110 different species find a home here in the foothills of the hilly Mühlviertel.
Halfway up the Pöstlingberg there is the Linz Zoo. If you want to combine escape from the hectic city life with a wonderful view over it, this is the place to be.
