Today we accompany a very rare locomotive on Swiss railways, a former class 1042 locomotive of the Austrian federal railways, as it pulls an empty sugar train from the sugar refinery in Frauenfeld / Islikon, towards the German border in Basel.
Unfortunately the video is quite jittery at times. I decided to use it all the same, as it is presently very rare seeing this locomotive in operation in Switzerland and the view of the back of the train is very nice.
One section that was completely unusable just before Winterthur was replaced by footage from another trip in summer - the second video now with a season change. I would like to create some videos in the future with all seasons during 1 trip. What are your thoughts?
For those of you who appreciate smoother videos, I will be uploading the trip again in the future in 4K 60p without any shaking issues.
The trip continued after Kaiserstuhl, however in a different configuration: https://flickr.com/photos/130776954@N05/46404231114/in/dateposted/
