Around 250 people marched through Vienna on Saturday to protest against the influx of refugees in Austria, clashing with the police and resulting in several people being arrested and injured.

The march was organised by the far-right Identitarian movement, who believe that the refugee crisis has made their country unrecognizable and therefore put it under threat.

Martin Sellner, 27-year-old co-founder said: "Austria became a hotspot for international jihadism-terrorism. We have a huge problem with Islamisation. In Vienna you don't recognize your own city anymore. You don't hear one German word on the streets. And the situation's gotten really worse and worse during the refugee crisis. And that's why the Austrians are waking up, joining our movement and getting on the streets."
