Austria: Day trip to innsbruck with kids. We made it to Innsbruck if only for a short day. Since we were in the Tirol, it made sense to not get a hotel in Innsbruck but just grab an early train to the capital of the Tirolean alps. The weather in Innsbruck started out rainy but ended up sunny and nice. We explored as much as we could including the palace, the Hofkirche, the golden roof, the landesmuseen, a garden, and had lunch at the Augustiner Beer Garden. Oh and we climbed a the city tower or Stadtturm. We left plenty to see for next time but we made the most of our day.
