Heres the story...

Our journey began in Austria, after waiting for three new pair of tires that arrived a day late i realized i had ordered the wrong ones. So we left with three 20 year old bikes in various conditions ranging from bad to worse, which we had bought only a couple days prior and did only basic maintenance until the last minute.
Of course i managed to drop the bike last second and bust the mirror, so i had to improvise and use one from a car which we found cleaning up the house, this isnt the worst fix though. My bike had a leaking vaccum hose which i managed to fix with duct tape. If the duct tape had failed at any point during the trip i wouldnt have been able to continue and would have had to dissasemble pretty much the whole bike in order to fix it again.
The oldest bike (100k+km) ran the smoothest so we didnt even bother touching it because we feared the worst would happen and just hoped for the best.
We took off, a day late, in rain (ofc) and hit the highway to eat some miles. Except for one quick incident where one of us ran out of fuel on the highway it was a pretty normal day. We drove to Salzbug and headed to Villach. Once we reached Villach i rememberd some of my collegues talking about how beautifull slowenia is. So we decided to drive over Slowenia into Italy. The views were stunning and the bikes performed at peak performance.
We had passed Slowenia in no time and entered Italy were we were lucky enough to find one of the last untouched rivers running down from the Dolomites (Tagliamento). We went for a swim, set up the tent and cooked food over a campfire. Good as it gets.
After a good nights sleep we started heading to lake Garda. We explored Sirmione and enjoyed a classical Italian Pizza, after that we rented a Hotel room and went out to a local Bar.
We left early on the next day and headed to Pisa. We discovered beautiful Italian mountain roads, one of which was even ferraris "test track". We thought we were going quick when a prototype Ferrari passed as and we werent able to spot it a corner later.
After sightseeing in Pisa we headed for Luca the next day. We departed the Ferry to Sardinia after a delay of about 4 Hours. We arrived at night, which we hadnt anticipated since one of our bikes lights had gone out the day prior. We drove to our beautifull AirBnb whose owners were particuallary nice and gifted us some of their homemade wine. We spent the next days exploring the Northern territories of Sardinia before heading to the mountainais east. The roads were incredible, the people very nice and helpful, the food italian and the roads barely used by other motorists. I guess thats what you see when you arrive in heaven.
We spent a couple of days exploring the region, before heading to the flat south of Sardinia, where we nearly died of a heatstroke. (not kidding)
So we headed back to Olbia and after a night ferry ride we arrived in Genua, where once of us managed to loose the rest and since this person had also droped his phone on the motorway in italy there was no way to cantact him.

This is how it ended:

Patrick managed to reach Lake Garda, and since this is the holiday destination for 90% of the Austrian people he managed to return home blindfolded.

Lorenz hit the Highway and managed to be home by sunfall.

Thomas decided to wait it out and take the train home. He had a great time when he got put into a cabine with a fellow motorist who had just crashed his bike in sardinia and busted his shoulder.

Perfect, precise planning and tense time management were the key to our sucess.
Great times :)

Ps
+ Despite Lorenzo denying this ever happened. He managed to drop the bike onto a Rv whose kind owners then fixed our bikers.
++ He also dropped the bike leaving our airbnb
+++ He once drifted in a corner and managed to loose both his shoes
++++ Srsly, this is all true. Nothings lied.
