This is a true story - one that i'll never forget. In a very dramatic end to my backpacking journey working at a ski resort in Austria, I had to abruptly evacuate St. Anton due to the coronavirus pandemic in Tyrol, Austria.

I was meant to work one more month as a season worker, something I had been documenting since I arrived, and was planning to head west to the warmer climates of Spain, Portugal, and then eventually back to Central and Eastern Europe. But, with the emerging global coronavirus pandemic, everything changed and I had to evacuate Austria. This is what ensued.
