The caves at Postnjska Jama in the country of Slovenia (where Donald Trump's wife, Milania, is from) were formed by the Sea beginning 70 million years ago. The resulting caves are 3 million years old. The 20-minute train ride takes you underground, then you walk thru these caves for 3-4 hours. It is surreal and you feel like you are in Jurasic Park 4-5 stories underneath the surface of the Earth. During WWII, the Germans hid Benzine (Gasoline) here, and when Yugoslavia found out, they set it all on fire, so the caves at the end are all black. To give perspective of the size of these caves, the people in these pictures are the size of ants. Electricity & lighting was installed 3 years before London got electricity. Concerts are periodically held inside these caves. Great to take kids & teens. Just like you would return to Disneyland, we all agreed we would go back to see this incredible cave world in Slovenija. Its well-worth a 3-4 hour drive from Germany, Austria, Italy, or Croatia, and there is a Hotel there now. Add this to your Bucket List.
