???????? Salzburg - Austria | It's not only about Mozart and The Sound of Music!

Salzburg is the 4th largest town in Austria but probably the most famous one. You would probably quick recall the grand classic composer Mozart or the movie The Sound of Music when you hear of Salzburg, but the city has a lot more to offer than just that!

From Linz, it is just about an hour by train and a little over 2 hours from the capital of Austria, Vienna.

The most recognized place in the city is the Mirabell Palace and Gardens, which lead your sight to the castle (in fact a fortress) on top of the hill, called Hohensalzburg.

One day is probably too little to visit the city, so if possible plan to stay at least one night.

If you are a fan of aviation and motorsports like me, put in your list to visit the Redbull Museum Hangar-7, at Salzburg Airport. It is very easy to reach by tram and the entrance is free (as of now).
