Austria: Pfänder Mountain and Cable Car at Lake Constance

Finally a really sunny day. It is still a little windy but for the first time since we are at Lake Constance blue sky and not a single cloud. So it's the perfect time for our day trip to Bregenz. From Lindau we took a ship going to the other side of the lake to Bregenz where we explored the port area a little and than moved on to the Pfänderbahn, a cable car going up the Pfänder Mountain. In Lindau you can already buy a combi ticket that includes the transfer with the ship and also the cable car ride. During the ride up the mountain you have a breathtaking view over Lake Constance and the city Bregenz. Once we arrived on the mountain we made a short break to enjoy the view before going for a hike to explore the area. The Pfänderbahn is a cable car in Bregenz in the Austrian province of Vorarlberg. It connects the valley at 419 meters above sea level with the 1022 meter high mountain station near the Pfänderspitze. We had an amazing day and were really lucky with the weather. One more day at the Lake before going back.
