Pianist Rubén Talón Domínguez, born in Valencia, is considered by both critics and audiences to be one of the Spanish pianists with the greatest internationally renowned projection of his generation. This trajectory is endorsed by his more than 20 prizes, as soloist, in different national and international competitions (Spain, France, Italy, Austria, USA), such as: 1º Prize Vittoria Caffa Rigetti International Piano Competition Milano, 1º Prize Giulio Rospigliosi Piano Competition, 1º Prize Euterpe International Piano competition Bari, 1º Prize Moscato International Piano competition Napoli, 1º Prize Varesse Piano Competition, 1º Prize Dolomiti Piano Competition, 1º Prize Daniele Ridolfi Piano Competition, 1º Prize International Competition Luigi Zanuccoli, 1º Prize Virtuoso International Piano Competition de Salzburgo, 1º Prize Citta di Pesaro International Piano Competition, 1º Prize Val Tidone International Piano Competition, 1º Prize Claude Kahn Piano Competition in Paris, among others. He has also been recognized with special prizes for the best interpretation of works by Manuel de Falla, Liszt and Rachmaninov, "Exceptional Talent" in Salzburg and winner of first prizes in the Albox and Riccione chamber music competitions.

Rubén began his musical studies in piano with professor Ricardo Roca, at the professional music conservatory José Iturbi at the age of 12, and upon completion received the maximum possible grades. In 2006 he began his studies at the Superior Conservatory of Valencia and also at the Rueil-Malmaison conservatory (Paris) with Denis Pascal (teacher of CNSMP, pupil of Georgy Sebok) who was his teacher for the following 4 years where he completed courses of excellence and virtuosity. In 2010 he received the higher degree with honors, at the Superior Conservatory of Valencia, having Francisco Baró as professor, and simultaneously receiving masterclasses with important teachers such as , Alicia de Larrocha, Maria João Pires, Dimitry Bashkirov, Jaques Rouvier, Lazar Berman, Sergio Perticaroli, Akiko Ebi Alexander Lonquich, Sergei Dorensky, Michel Béroff or Rudolf Buchbinder, among others.

In 2010 he was admitted by the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale Incontri col Maestro in Imola (Italy). Rubén Talón is the first Spanish pianist to have been accepted into this Institution, to study the superior degree of pianistic excellence, where he studied for 9 years under the guidance of the acclaimed masters Leonid Margarius (Russian school of Regina Horowitz, sister of Vladimir Horowitz) and Boris Petrushansky (last pupil of Heinrich Neuhaus).

Rubén offers concerts as soloist in Spain, France, Italy , Argentina, Uruguay, Austria and Germany and has also collaborated in concerts with chamber groups, accompanying singers and important Orchestras in auditoriums and concert halls, Palau of the Musica Valencia , Duomo of Cortemillia, Auditorium Ciudad of León, Auditorium del Massimo of Rome, Hall Marielle Ventre of Imola, Auditorium Umanitaria in Milán, ‘Real Academia de España’ in Rome,” Auditorium of Albox”, Auditorium de Rueil-Malmaison in Paris, Teatro Juan Bravo de Segovia, Auditorium of Schiltz, Auditorium of Fulda, Mozarteum of Salzburgo, Sala Mozart of Bolonia, Centro Kirchner Buenos Aires, Auditorio SODRE Nelly Goitiño in Montevideo and Salle Gaveau in Paris, among others.

He has been invited to International Festivals as “Pianale”, “Pirineos Clásica,” “Umanitaria”, “Músicos del mundo”, “Music Fest Perugia”, or “Maestros Internacionales”; to give Masterclasses at different conservatories and specialized centres , and to form part of the jury in International Competitions. He is the delegate of the Eutherpe Foundation in Italy and Ambassador of Promete Foundation. His students have won several International Piano Competitions.
He is the Head Department of piano in ESMAR (Escuela Superior Musical de Alto Rendimiento) of Valencia, Spain.
