There are two routes from Dalhousie to Chamba. One goes via Khajjiar which remains closed during winter due to snowfall. The distance from Dalhousie to Chamba via Khajjiar is 40 something km whereas if you follow the other road namely Chamba road then Chamba lies at the distance of 53 something km.

We took the latter route as the former was blocked due to snow and the landscape was too captivating to taken us aback time and again. Contrarily, Chamba town has an influence of hustle bustle of urban's life. Thus we had our lunch and headed to Khajjiar.
