MERANO: a vibrant spa town, full of spacious parks, easy walking routes, botanical gardens, and waterways that invite you to linger and enjoy the old town's green and pleasant atmosphere. The natural spectacle presented by the glaciers' snow-covered peaks forms a backdrop to the palm trees and exotic plants of the beautiful gardens in the old town or the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle.

MAURACH AM ACHENSEE: nestled between the Karwendel Nature Park in the west and the Rofan mountains in the east, Maurach am Achensee lies majestically on a sunny high plateau. The mountain station of the Rofan cable car is the starting point for numerous hikes. There is also the thrilling Flying Fox Airrofan Skyglider, which is modeled on an eagle and rushes down from the Gschöllkopf (2,040m) at up to 80 km/h. Maurach is also the terminus of the Achenseebahn. The oldest steam cog railway in the world puffs along its scenic route from Jenbach in the Inn Valley up to Lake Achensee.

ROTTACH-EGERN, TEGERNSEE: the beautiful countryside at the foot of the impressive Wallberg and the inspirational atmosphere created by galleries, boutiques, and excellent cafés and restaurants on the southern banks of Lake Tegernsee.
