Driving Austria: B20-B39-B28 Mariazell - St. Pölten - 4k scenic drive through The Alps - Pielachtal

Let's go drive down from the austrian mountains today, from the famous pilgrimage and ski resort Mariazell to the beautiful town of St. Pölten, situated in the lowlands close to The Danube Valley. We chose a longer route as the usual one over the B20 national road, in order to get a better glimpse of the region. We first drive over Josefberg Pass and then turn left on the B28 national road, crossing another mountain pass, at an altitude of about 1100m. From the pass we descend into The PIalach valley (Pielachtal), famous for its great landscape and the popular traditions and costumes. Enjoy!
