The Berchtesgaden Alps are a mountain range belonging to the Northern Limestone Alps. It is spread over the territory of two states - Austria and Germany. The massif is divided into several regions, each with mountain peaks of different heights.

The system is mainly located in the southeast of Germany, a small part is located in Austria, in the territory of Salzburg. The total length is 45 km, the width of the system stretches for 35 km. The massif surrounds the German community of Berchtesgaden, which belongs to Bavaria.
