The Seehorn is a mountain, 2,321 m, in the Berchtesgaden Alps, in the Pinzgau region of Austria, not far from the border between the Austrian state of Salzburg and Bavaria in Germany.It is located on the edge of the steinernes Meer(stone sea) and belongs to the Hochkaltergebirge. The Seehorn is a great panoramic mountain and framed by a spectacular mountain backdrop - Loferer and Leonganger Steinberge, steinernes meer Hochkönig, Große Hundstod, Hoher Göll, Watzmann and Hochkalter are within reach.At an altitude of 1,779 meters, almost halfway to the summit, lies the deep green and almost circular Sehornsee in a depression.
