The Zugspitze, at 2,962 m (9,718 ft) above sea level, is the highest peak of the Wetterstein Mountains as well as the highest mountain in Germany.

Three of Germany's five glaciers are found on the Zugspitze massif: the Höllentalferner the Southern and Northern Schneeferner.

Upon arrival at the summit, the visitor is treated to a spectacular view taking in more than 400 mountains, spread across three countries aside from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy, which are clearly visible on cloudless days.

You can take three different routes from two different countries, Germany and Austria.
1. Eibsee-Seilbahn
2. Gletscherbahn Cable Car (Glacier Cable Car)
3. Austria’s Tiroler Zugspitzbahn.
