The video presents a very nice hike, trying to go up to the Hinteres Sonnwendjoch peak, in Mangfall Mountains. I started the tour from a free parking on the road Bayrischzell - Kufstein, shortly after Ursprungpass, while coming from Bayrischzell, about 1km after crosiing the german-austrian border. From there I went up on a steep trail, up to Schönfeldalm. From Schönfeldalm the weather started to deteriorate and I had to cancel the initial plan to go over the ridge to Wildenkarsattel, and went to Wildenkaralm instead. Just after Wildenkaralm I was caught by a big storm, with powerful wind gusts, big quantities of rain and many blizzards. The whole storm lasted about 15-20 minutes, and I was lucky to be in the forest at that time, just before exiting it to the alpine area.
Unfortunately I made a big mistake and put the camera the other way round after the storm went away, so I lost 1 hour of footage, with the central area of the tour. After going up and reaching the ridge, I took the decision to not go to the peak, which was visible, about 100m upper from my position, because of the very powerful wind. Instead, I returned back to the parking spot on another route, via Ackernalm, mostly on an asphalt road, that allowed me to run a big part of the downhill.
All in one, a very interesting tour, and I am very happy to have stayed a few hours in the nature, even if I didn't reach the peak.
