Italy has reopened to travellers from Europe, three months after entering a lockdown. The hope is to revive tourism this summer as the country works to ease the economic pain from the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Switzerland and Austria have shut Italy out of their border reopening plans, while other European nations like Belgium and Britain continue to caution against non-essential overseas travel. Italy's foreign minister has issued a warning not to treat it "like a leper".
