Malam Jabba is home to the swat valley famous ski resort is located at an elevation of 2,804 meters (9,199ft) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The Malam Jabba ski resort area is at a distance of 45km (28miles) from Mingora and 279km (173miles) from Islamabad. It initially served as a famous tourist destination but in 1988 due to the construction of the ski resort and the recent uplift have boosted its tourism sector.
The previously installed chairlift constructed with the financial assistance of the Austrian government was destroyed during insurgency in 2008.

However, in 2014, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government announced to reconstruct the Malam Jabba ski resort featuring a four-star hotel, a chairlift, a cable car, snowboarding and ski slopes for national and international tourists. This season, the cable car started operations to transport tourists to the peak of Malam Jabba offering panoramic view.

The newly installed zip line is approximately 1,000 feet (90 metre) high and about 2,000 feet (550 metre) long, while its speed can reach up to 80 kilometres per hour. Just imagine the views and adrenaline rush you’re going to get.



Ever since it was opened, tourists have thronged to the new tourist attraction, zip-lining to their heart’s content. Speaking to different media outlets, the tourists said that it was a true adventure and a unique experience for them.
