We take you to a hidden gem close to Salzburg. This lake is not very touristy, thus not well known outside of Austria, as the tourism industry decided for a “gentle tourism” for Mattsee. However, this picturesque lake is only 12 miles away from Salzburg and an amazing insider tip with a wonderful scenery.

This video shows the south shore of this beautiful lake Mattsee and its eponymous municipality. The short walk takes us to different places with a mix of lakeside-views, alpine panorama, architecture and culture.
