'Really debilitating': Victoria's tourism industry on its knees

A further blow has been struck to Victoria's struggling tourism industry with the reintroduction of density limits.

Operators say the new restrictions have shaken consumer confidence.

Sky News Australia discussed the issue with Victorian Tourism Industry Council CEO Felicia Mariani who described the period as a "debilitating time" for the sector.

"Here in Victoria, since the pandemic started we've actually wiped $20 billion off of our visitor spend over that period – so it's been a really debilitating time for our sector across all aspects," Ms Mariani said.
