Kilimanjaro, the Top of Africa
Mount Kilimanjaro,is a triple Summit volcano located in the northeast of the Republic of Tanzania. Its three peaks are volcanic craters. The highest point at 5.895 meters is Uhuru peak.

One of its notable features are the 4,600 m of altitude gain existing from the base in the Rift Valley to the Summit at Uhuru Peak, making Kilimanjaro the highest isolated peak of the world.
The first ascent of this mythical mountain dates from 6 October 1889, after two failed attempts, by the German Hans Meyer, Austrian Ludwig Purtscheller, and the chagga guide Yohana Lauwo.

30/08.- Simba camp to Kikelewa camp (10,990 ft.)

31/08.- Kikelewa camp to Mawenzi camp (14,170 ft.)

01/09.- Mawenzi camp-Mawenzi camp (rest or acclimatization walk)

02/09.- Mawenzi camp to Horombo (12,204 ft.)

03/09.- Horombo to Barafu hut (15,330 ft.)

04/09.- Barafu hut to summit (19,337 ft.) down to Horombo hut (12,204 ft.)

05/09.- Horombo hut to Marango gate-Transfer to hotel


06/09.- Drive to Manyara NP, Game drive, picnic lunch. Overnight in lodge.
