Seegrotte is a cave system with a large grotto/chapel dedicated to Saint Barbara located under a former gypsum mine.
The passage to the cave is a very long tunnel which is a big challenge to claustrophobics.
Visitors go 60 meters below ground level into an area of 6200 square meters
where they can see the pool or lake, which is fed by seven springs. Everyday, pumps are being used to keep the water level down and to avoid flooding the cave.
Visitors can tour the old mine and take a boat ride across the underground lake. Guided tour duration is approximately 45 minutes.
