I embarked on a guided adventure with Trafalgar Travel. One that offered authentic insight into a country I loved, Italy, as well as one I’d never visited before, Austria. All the while following the important theme 'Travel Today, Sustain Tomorrow.'
With TreadRight ambassador Celine Cousteau onboard, we visited Rome, Perugia, Siena, San Gimignano and Venice, in each place unlocking the unique living and lasting treasures with our travel director and local specialists.
Dining with a chef in his private home on Tiber Island, meeting a fourth generation weaver, spending time on small Tuscan farms and meeting two Princesses, who claim to be direct descendants of the Mona Lisa.
In Austria with it’s snow-capped mountains, we visited the Kloster Wernberg, where 60 sisters offer workshops in sustainable living, before time in Salzburg retracing the steps from The Sound of Music at Schloss Leopoldskron.
All the while taking valuable lessons in how travel can and should, have a positive impact on the areas we visit.
