The Manakamana Cable Car is a “Must Visit” Destination for those coming to Nepal and especially for those who haven't experienced a Cable Car Ride before. This is the ride downwards to Kurintar i.e. the ‘Descent’. This is a very beautiful place and so are its surroundings. The cable car system was imported from Doppelmayr ropeway technology of Austria. Before the Cable Car was established, thousands of pilgrims had to go to Manakamana by a long strenuous trek. The Cable Car ride covers a distance of 2.8 KM and it takes about 10 minutes to reach Manakamana.
