Trip to Perast, Tivat and Kotor Cable Car || Montenegro

We travelled from Tivat to Perast in bus. There were options to take taxi, boat ride or a bus from Tivat City Centre area. We preferred to take the bus ride since the views we heard were really scenic, the bus takes us to Kotor where we switch buses in front of the Old town area. The whole route is along the sea cost.

**Perast
Perast is an old town in the Bay of Kotor with a tiny population of under 300 people, it reminded us of Austria’s – Hallstatt. From Perast we can see Our Lady of the Rock - this is a man maid Island which keeps increasing annually, as all the locals add one stone each year.

From Perast we came back to Tivat city centre via Kotor. Tivat also has a nice marina and high street area which gets busy in the evening time. Good place to eat out and meet with the locals and other fellow tourists.

**Kotor Cable Car
We went to Lovcen, where the Cable car starts from, they have ample of parking space if you are driving by yourself. This is only 6-10 mins from the city center. Cost for the 11-minute Cable car is 23 Euro pp. This has recently been inaugurated in Aug 2023. Once you are at the top you are in Lovcen National Park – On one side you see beautiful Bay of Kotor and beyond and next to it one can enjoy the bay area of Tivat, airport and breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea. (Do carry a light pullover additionally if you are planning to go later in the afternoon or evening – since it becomes chillier then)
