After 14 suspects were arrested by Turkish authorities over the killing of the downed Russian Su-24 bomber pilot, one of the detainees was taken to a court in Izmir on Friday. The men were arrested in Izmir on Thursday, according to a local police source.
Alparslan Celik, reportedly being escorted in the convoy, has been named by Turkish authorities. Local police claim Celik and 13 others were armed with a Kalashnikov assault rifle and large amounts of ammunition when they were apprehended in an Izmir restaurant.
