Vienna was beautiful — but it wasn’t effortless.
In this vlog, we share what it actually felt like to experience Vienna during the holidays while living out of backpacks and moving through Europe every few days.
From Christmas markets and glühwein (and yes, the mugs) to stunning architecture, cultural icons, and moments that didn’t quite go as planned — this was a city that surprised us in more ways than one.
You’ll see:
• Vienna’s breathtaking architecture
• Christmas markets & seasonal traditions
• The Spanish Riding School morning exercise
• The Vienna State Opera House (beautiful… but hard to hear)
• A chocolate museum that was fun — but pricey
• A moving three-trumpet Christmas concert in a Gothic church
• Food struggles with allergies and gluten intolerance
• A small souvenir that somehow mattered more than expected
We hoped for snow — it never came.
But Vienna still left its mark.
This video shows the experience behind the numbers, and why not every meaningful travel moment is perfect or easy.
breakdown.
