Visitors have been coming here for more than 3,000 years to breath in the health-giving mountain air, to enjoy the spectacular landscapes and experience Nature’s power house. Up to 600 million litres of water per hour have been recorded thundering down 400 m into the Salzach Valley below on their long journey past Salzburg through many countries, along the Danube River into the Black Sea and eventually through the Bosporus into the Mediterranean Sea. Over a million people visit the falls each year during the warmer summer months. The walking trail alongside the falls is accessible to people with limited mobility. To escape the crowds and explore the source of all this water, come and wander upstream to the high mountain ranges bordering with Italy. Not many people see it this way. It is so quiet, dreamful and beautiful up on the alpine meadows at this time of the year. Enjoy this beautifully presented show in HD.
