It's early March and we are in the Praetigau, which is the far northwest of Graubunden near Davos and the Austrian border. We are winter hiking route 327 from the quiet village of Sankt Antönien up and over the mountain and down to Pany. To arrive in Sankt Antönien, you take the IC3 from Zurich to Landquart. After avoiding the fashion outlets, you get on the train toward Davos and then switch in Kueblis to bus 222 to Sankt Antonien. The village church is worth a stop to try to capture it. The route is quite quiet, once leaving the village and the Praetigau is quite lovely, with the peaks having some of the golden grey color of the Tirol starting to emerge.
