I cross into Austria and spend an 8-hour layover in the country’s capital city – Wien. I first enjoy brunch at the famous “Café Central”, topping off the meal with a golden dessert, before embarking on a brief sightseeing walk around the centre of the city, not forgetting the trams of course… I return to the main railway station to continue to my next destination – Semmering. On the way there, I take in the beautiful views along the historic Semmering Railway.
