As promised today I take you on a walk on Neubaugasse here in the 7th District Vienna Austria. We start our walk in Mariahilfer Straße (Border to the 6th district), Vienna's largest shopping street and walk through the whole stretch of Neubaugasse​ to it's end in the south of the 7th district on Lerchenfelder Straße (border to the 8th district)

The Neubaugasse is one of the most popular shopping streets of Vienna and is in the same 7th district , the new building , a very urban district. It is not a typical shopping street with large shops, also because of the comparatively limited space available, but rather is characterized by many small shops and bars. It extends from Lerchenfelder Straße in the north through the entire district and ends n Mariahilfer Strasse where our walk begins.

Since the renovation in 2020, the area between Mariahilfer Strasse and Burggasse has been designed as a meeting zone; the section between Mariahilfer Strasse and Lindengasse is closed to general through traffic.
