The Prater is a large and famous public park in Vienna, Austria. The Wurstelprater, an amusement park that is often simply called "Prater", lies in one corner of the Wiener Prater and includes the Wiener Riesenrad or Giant Ferris wheel. It is usually open around the clock, throughout the whole year. Even though, attractions are closed during the winter time and sometimes in the high season at bad weather. In contrast to many other theme parks you do not need to pay a general entrance fee. You only have to pay the ticket for the attraction, which you wand to ride.
