#SolaXCase: 1MWh Storage Powers Smart Energy for an Alpine Tourism Hub in Austria ????????⚡
How do you ensure reliable, cost-efficient energy across hotels, ski facilities, campsites, and EV charging—all in one location?
In partnership with ETECH Schmid u. Pachler Elektrotechnik GmbH & Co KG, SolaX delivers the answer with a 1 MWh energy storage solution in Marterndorf — enabling smarter, more resilient energy management for a complex, multi-site tourism hub.
System Configuration:
• 5 × Liquid-Cooling ESS-TRENE units (Master-Slave parallel configuration)
• 400 kW / 1044 kWh energy storage capacity
• Centralized system architecture across multiple locations
This system delivers:
• Up to 80% peak load reduction, significantly lowering energy costs
• Seamless backup power (EPS) to ensure uninterrupted operations
• A centralized architecture connecting multiple locations with independent metering
• Enhanced stability for highly fluctuating energy demands
Special thanks to EEA-Elektro GmbH for their professional installation and support, and to Peter Schitter GmbH (Auszeit XL) for their trust in bringing this project to life.
From powering ski centers to supporting EV charging, this project shows how intelligent storage can unlock new levels of efficiency and resilience in modern energy systems.
